I never really thought about using the journal on DeviantArt before, mostly because I'm not too sure I really have anything interesting to say and I've not really got much of a following on here (though some of those that do follow me are very lovely :]), so I imagined it would sort of seem like screaming into the void -- but here I go anyway. Life is kinda rough at the moment, I think everyone reading this can attest to that with all that is going on these days, and I find it can be a real creativity-dampener. I've not posted much atall to my DA profile yet the amount of art that I have actually started is rather ridiculous, I just never seem to be happy with anything or finish anything. Common problem when it comes to artists, I guess, but this art/competance block had hit me pretty hard lately. It doesn't help that over the years I've kind of let my art skills go to waste and slack off, back when I was a teenager I used to draw things all the time, but apart from some digital stuff
